In order to reconnect his TV satellite, Helmut decides to climb out of his window in a resolute manner. His neighbour Walter misinterprets this action as an attempted suicide, which Walter would love to join as well. While trying to clear this misunderstanding, both find out a near friend in the so far unknown neighbour.
